Valerie Brauckman Burgess, Founder and President of TelecoWorks, Inc.:

Recruited by Verizon to run its groundbreaking Video Dial Tone project in Toms River, NJ, Valerie learned the public switched telephone network from the ground up. Managing Verizon's initial foray into delivering television over fiber optic technology, Valerie was General Manager of Sales and Network Operations. Verizon's VDT project was the forerunner of Verizon's FiOS service.

As a local public switched telephone network expert, Valerie went on to join Teleport Communications Group the nation's largest competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC). TCG, eventually purchased by AT&T for $13 billion, brought local phone service to AT&T's long distance and data enterprise customers. As East Coast Global Business Development Manager for AT&T, Valerie managed sales teams supporting General Electric, Tyco Industries, Conseco and Marriott.

Upon leaving AT&T, Valerie worked for several CLEC's managing their indirect sales channel. She was integral in the introduction of dynamically allocated integrated voice and data services over T-1 circuits.

Starting her own independent consulting business in 2001, Valerie has been helping business and industry improve their voice and data connectivity for nearly 10 years.

Recent training accomplishments included Cisco Networking CCNA Semester 1 & 2 and Global Knowledge's 5-day Fundamentals of VoIP.
